Did some speed tests today, particularly I was interested in 12bit vs 14bit difference. As you'll see, there isn't any.D700 is a 5fps machine. There's another 106 minutes lost that I'll never get back.. Another proof how a trailer can make a totally wrong impression. So I finally got the smaller brother, D300 for a test. Came in a nice bag from Nikon office, with a lovely surprise as well: Nikkor 14-24 2.8 AF-S N. I'll talk more about the lens later, the first thing I wanted to do with D300 were some homemade ISO tests. I've done a bunch of them: NR off, low, normal and high, with ambient light and with flash. I guess I shoud explain some stuff, give you some background info about me and this blog..Atm I'm 28. I had internet connection since I was in junior high, way back in 1992 or something. Back then there was only one "network" - Arnes (academic research network) around here. We used those 9600kbps modems, were happy at the download speeds around 1KBps and were amazed about the internet overall.
